BONE LAKE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT
COMMISSIONERS SPECIAL MEETING

The meeting was called to order by Ch. Bob Murphy – at Wilkins Resort – May 19, 2007 – at 9:00AM. Roll call was taken with Bob Murphy –Wayne Shirley – Mary Delougherty – Bob Blake – Mark Lendway – Dale Vlasnik and Dick Boss present.

Treasures report was given by Dale with a balance of $78,960.32 as of May 19, 2007. This was approved.

Dave Mueller requested to speak to the commissioners about sand that allegedly accumulated in front of his boat house following the work on the south access which ajoins his property. While the commissioners did not feel it was a result of the work that was done, Mr. Mueller’s request that he could hire someone to correct the problem for $125.00 received approval from the board.

Minutes were approved with corrections—

We will do an Aquatic Plant Survey and an Aquatic Plant Management Plan which will start in May or June 2007 and reach completion in March of 2008 at a cost of $13,080.00.

This will be followed by a Comprehensive Lake Management Plan which will be completed by fall of 2008 at the cost of $11,800.00.

We have received a grant from the DNR for $3,000.00 for the Aquatic Plant Survey and Plan, leaving $10,080 to be paid by the Bone Lake Management District.

We can apply for a grant for the Lakes Management Plan in the August 1, 2007 cycle.  Competition is high for these grants, with applications exceeding available grant money by a large margin. There is no assurance ewe will receive a grant.

Moved and seconded to move forward with both plans using the grant we have received for the Aquatic Plant Plan and applying for a grant for the Lakes Management Plan.

The Boat Safety Program will be held, however, only 2 kids have signed up. We will combine with Lake Wapogasset and it will be at the Georgetown Hall. It will be run by Tamara Larsen. Ages 11 and 12 years old can get certificates, but others are encouraged to attend.

Motion to adjourn. This was seconded and carried and the meeting was adjourned.
