| Chairman, Bob Murphy called the meeting to order Sat. April 12, 2008 at Georgetown Hall at 9:00am. Those present were Bob Murphy--Dale Vlasnik--Ron Ogren--Bob Boyd--Wayne Shirley--Phil Foster--Dick Boss--Mary Delougherty and Bill Jungbauer. |

| It was suggested and approved to ask the chairman of the Polk County Board to appoint Brian Masters to become our representative from the Polk County Board. |

Minutes were read by Mary Delougherty and were approved. |

| Treasurers Report by Dale Vlasnik was presented. The balance as of 4/12/08 was $107,291.65. This includes grant money of $3,000 for APM and $10,000 for the LMP. This was approved. |
| Cheryl Clemmens was not present, but suggested that a board member should head the Aquatic Plant Management Committee. |

| The chair appointed Dick Boss to chair the Aquatic Plant and Algae Committee. The committee has been inactive pending completion of the Aquatic Plant Management Plan. Motion was made to have Dick Boss implement plan grants for APM, and deal with consultants |

| The committee will deal with coordinating the APMP. Two sub-committees, the Aquatic Invasive Species committee chaired by Phil Foster and the Lake Monitoring Committee, chaired by Bob Boyd they will report to the chairman of the Aquatic Plant and Algae Committee. |

The committee will use a consultant to assist with the work load. Areas requiring assistance may be: securing permits and grants: bids on spraying: pre and post monitoring of sprayed areas; and a three year aquatic plant survey enabling us to stay current on the situation. |

| The committee chair is authorized up to $10,000, for any single item. Larger expenditures will be brought to the board for approval. |
| Motion was made and seconded to approve the committee appointments and the method of operation. Motion was approved. |

| Bids will be requested for this years spraying from Northern Aquatic Services and Lake Restoration. Chairman Murphy was told in a phone conversation with Frank Koshere of the Wisconsin DNR, that the spraying permit applications would be approved and issued, but post monitoring would be required. |

We will continue to work with Harmony Envirinmental to get--get permits--bids for application--follow up on treatment--mapping lake--harvesting permits--application grants and navigational routes.
A discussion was held on the appointment of a committee to work with Harmony Environmental on the Lake Management Plan which will begin soon. A motion was approved to appoint the same committee as we had for the Aquatic Plant Management Plan with the option of adding additional members. |

| The final draft of the Aquatic Plant Management Plan was distributed to the commissioners for review, with approval by the end of the week. |

| A public meeting to review and approve the final draft will be held on May 17, 2008 at Wilkins beginning at 9:00 AM. Following this meeting the plan will be submitted to the Wisconsin DNR for approval. |

| Check signing for BLMD will be as follows: Bob Murphy--Dale Vlasnik and Mary Delougherty all others will be deleted. Social and Recreational as follows: Bill Jungbauer--Mary Delougherty and Dick Boss, all others will be deleted |

| Boat safety class will be June 7th & 8th, 12:00 to 4:00 pm both days at Georgetown Hall-- Thanks to Dick Boss |

| Dick will work with Tim Delougherty and Mike Musial and place bouys where DNR approves. We may place 31 bouys in lake. Need 4 new bouys-- these will be built by Tim and Mike to code. |

It was approved to donate $500.00 to Wilkins for the purchase of a defibulator. This in case of emergency on the lake. This will be mentioned in the news letter. |

Phil Foster states some old signs will be removed and new ones placed at No. and So. End accesses. Phil suggested that we have some laminated card or map and information of rules to be passed out to boaters. Information of weeds and the proper inspection before launching and removing boats. |

| We will contact Jolene about keeping the web site up to date. |
